The Great Au Sable River Glass Overlay

This gorgeous custom designed and hand cut tabletop piece was inspired by the beauty of the Au Sable River in Oscoda, Michigan.  A photo of the location is included in the images.  The piece measures approximately 8x12x3 inches including the stand.   The glass piece is approximately 8x10 inches.   This piece was custom designed and consists of pieces of various colors and sizes of transparent glass that were meticulously hand cut and assembled in an overlay design.    The glass was fused for nearly 24 hours at temperatures up to 1460 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please Note:  All items are hand made and each is unique.  There are innate characteristics of the glass that may create bubbles or other slight imperfections when fired to nearly 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.  This is a natural occurrence with all glass and does not diminish the beauty of the piece.
